The Moorpark apricot tree is a popular, self-pollinating fruit tree that produces large, sweet, juicy apricot.   Fruit: Large, golden-yellow apricots with deep orange flesh
  • Flowers: Whitish-pink flowers that bloom in the spring
  • Harvest: Ripe fruit is available from early July to early August
  • Size: Can grow to be 15–20 ft tall and wide
  • Sun: Prefers full sun
  • Soil: Prefers deep, fertile, moist, well-drained soil
  • Climate: Requires 600–700 hours of temperatures below 45ºF in the winter for buds to open in the spring
Pollination: Self-pollinating, but planting two varieties is recommended for a better crop
