The base color of Sempervivum 'Gold Rush' is deep burgundy-red, with each leaf tipped with vibrant yellow. The amount of yellow varies through the season...sometimes only the very tips of the leaves are yellow, while other times most of the rosette is yellow with red showing only deep within the center of the rosette.
