Corkscrew Willow

Corkscrew willow/ salix matsudana tortuosa; S,matsudana koidzumi

DISCRIPTION -The corkscrew willow is sought after because of its drooping, twisted, contorted twigs. They are at first olive green then turn to a grey/brown. Not only are the twigs twisted but so are the leaves.

SOIL-loamy, sandy, clay, moist (acidic, alkaline)

HARDINESS ZONES-4-8

WATERING-This is extremely drought tolerant although it doesnt really have an extrie watering routine it would be good to place it where water can collect such as the lowest point of your yard where the soil is moist.

MATURE SIZE-30-40 ft tall and 15-20 ft wide

TEMP/HUMIDITY-This plant does well in colder temperatures but does not fare well in hot, dry, or humid conditions.
